N4TF readers,
Hello once again and I am sorry for the lack of activity coming from me. I am going to venture in a new direction with this space and opportunity to share different ideas and thoughts. I will be starting a different idea, one that I am excited about. I want to make available to everyone interested, ground instruction for free via this blogging website. I will do my best to post videos and images as well as easy to understand lessons that cover topics required to pass an written Knowledge test. Now keep in mind that these lessons are going to come as I go through and create my own curriculum for my personal use instructing individuals. I hope to put a bug in someones spirit about the possibility of becoming a pilot and the knowledge and information I hope to share with the readers will save you hundreds of dollars in ground instruction. The new name and first post are TBD but will be up hopefully relatively shortly. I hope within a week or so. Please comment with name ideas if you think you have a good one. Thanks all and have a good day.

Molly the best rescued dog ever
Today I started some obediance training on my brother's dog. Molly was dropped off by someone in the river bottoms by someone who obviously didn't realize the beautiful dog they had. I do not understand how someone can just drop off a puppy and her mother with no food, shelter, or water. Thankfully there are tender hearts out there like my brother Spencer's. This pup had obvious abuse issues and was very skiddish near men. A few times since bringing her home she has gotten off her leash and made her way to the neighbor's house and growled and barked him back into his house. Fortunatly for the dog and my brother the neighbor knew him and knew it was his dog and called him to come get her. I knew that something had to be done to keep her and everyone safe. I deceided to train her. I have trained my own dogs pretty good, they listen to about 95% of what I tell them. They sit and wait to be told to eat, even if I leave the room. I love animals and to think that this beautiful dog has 2 possible outcomes in life: 1. Get loose, scare or bite someone and get shot or 2. Someone who cares teaches her how to be a good dog. She a a great dog who loves attention. A little shy at first she came around to me very quickly. The first night I took her home to spend some time with her and kind of learn her personality, I must say she was very stubborn at first. I let her off the leash as an experiment and she was gone, ran off to some big barking dogs chained up. I like working dogs and I have taken several dog bites in suits. I have been biten by several German Shepards, a Rottweiler, and Malinois to name a few, needless to say I know where I am not wanted. My brave soul of a girlfriend walked right up to those barking K-9s and got Molly. Today was really day 1 of Molly's training and she did great. I taught her to sit the very first day I met her but that was easy. I wanted to give her a quick test to see how quickly of a learner she was so I taught her to shake. As I was walking her around the yard to teach her what is her's and what is other peoples properties I took advantage of a shade tree, knelt down and taught her to shake a paw in 10 minutes! I was very excited to end that day on that accomplishment. Some people may think that wasn't very long training, but for a dog to learn something new in 10 minutes that takes a lot of mental energy out of her she was ready to clunk out on me afterwards. I am excited to post more as we progress in our training. I say "our" training because I hope to build on this ability and potentially do it as a money making hobby. Please follow our progress.
Thank You,
Elijah

Back in the Day
Today I want to talk about something that I have noticed and wanted to touch on for a bit. I was driving home the other night and I went through a town in central Florida that reminded me of better times. As I went through it I felt as though I was taken back several years, probably a time before my own. The small, simple, and antique looking town slowed down time and demanded me to appreciate the simpleness of it. The walk-up ice cream stand was the cherry that topped this slice of paradise.
Normally something so simple wouldn't stand out so much but I recognized and appreciated something in this landscape that made me start to think. When we look around us all we see is people rushing and things changing faster than we recognize. We go somewhere and come back and there is something that is out of the norm from what we remember last. Sometimes it can be disheartening. This town reminded me of a place that you could leave and when you get back everything and everyone will be right there waiting with open arms. That sounds like a wonderful home.
We need to slow down and enjoy ourselves and our lives because you may leave and something just might not be the same when you get back. I think about going to Wal Mart and sometimes when I look around I am sad that people can't take the time to give one another a smile or a friendly "Hello" and "Have a good day" with sincere attitude. You never know, you may make someones day just by wishing them a good day. There is a commercial on TV that I really, really love. The commercial starts out by someone helping a stranger and someone seen it and then that person did something to help a stranger and so on. Today I was at Target and there was a single cart in the cart rack outside so I grabbed it and pushed it in even though I didn't need it. No one saw it and no one will probably ever will know but I feel that I helped a complete stranger today in some way I challenge each of you to help someone throughout your days. Comment on here and let others know what YOU did to help a stranger....I promise it makes you feel very good and you really could make your own day in the process. Have a good day everyone.

Legalize It or Not
There is a lot of controversy surrounding the legalization of marijuana, some people want it and some do not. There is an answer though, I feel there is an answer for every question posed, the only problem is finding the right answer. I see benefits and downfalls to legalizing marijuana. The obvious benefit is revenue gained from the legal sales of marijuana. With the shape our country is in right now I do not feel that any proposal should be out of the question. What we need to realize is that we can benefit from the legal sales of marijuana and in more ways than just one.
Humans are destroying this planet faster now than ever before and what does the planet need to rebuild itself? Trees. Hemp is an excellent alternative to deforestation for paper. There are also many other uses that we can benefit from. A 1938 Popular Mechanics article explains how it can become the next billion dollar industry. Lotus, the exotic car company, built a car using hemp in the seats and body panels using hemp that was grown locally to them. Costing pennies on the dollar to manufacture and almost every single square inch being used why can't we harness this power? That is a good question. A good answer is not easy to find.
Marijuana is to us now what alcohol and Prohibition was to us in the 1920's. Prohibition was the U.S. governmental effort to criminalize alcohol. The American government spent $310,000,000 enforcing Prohibition during the 1920s and early 1930s, and the government lost $11,000,000,000 in tax revenue. These figures are adjusted for inflation. We do have a bunch of people in jails strictly for marijuana and spend a bunch of money enforcing it = a ton of wasted money. Wasting money banning something that could help our national debt and well-being is absurd. Our country is so broke but we don't want to think and problem solve. There is a reason, and it is not our well-being but the well-being of people threatened by it: OIL COMPANIES. That's right hemp, just like corn can be used for fuel. Hmmm a natural, renewable resource that's cheap to grow and manufacture, that can be used in its entirety, that would almost eliminate logging, that isn't food!? Sounds too good to be true? It's not. I feel God gave us everything we need to be self sufficient and obviously this place hasn't been too self reliable.
Alcohol is in, marijuana is out. I am not saying that is a bad thing but I think that it needs to be fair. I would rather ride in the car with someone who has been smoking than someone who has been drinking and since we are on the topic, I think this is a very good argument against any of theirs. I am not here to try and argue that we need to pass marijuana for more than just smoking but I am here to say that alcohol has ruined more families and lives than marijuana and I am here to say that it is a double standard. Let us have our guns, our Bibles, and marijuana and let those who want to gain from it gain! There is no need to continue living under a rock. We are in desperate times right now with our economy in the tank. There are risks with every action but I would put my future on it that the reward with exploring the potential uses of marijuana is worth the risk.

Intro
Hello and welcome!!
My name is Elijah and I wanted to first of all thank you for checking out my blog. I hope to spark the imagination and expand the mind. I want feedback and ideas. Give me ideas and topics and we will try to get conversations started and find answers. I have a "No holds barred" mindset and if it is on your mind I want us to discuss it and if you need help with anything I think with enough heads and minds any answer can be reached. So with that said remember, "No Holds Barred" politics, school, work, health, children, movies, music. Anything goes but just please be respectful of everyone's views and beliefs. Also I do not mind curse words although please only use them when necessary and do not use them against the good Lord or anyone else.
Thank you,
Elijah
